Movin' On - Exercise and Movement for Breast Cancer Survivors

Proper Exercise is Key to Breast Cancer Recovery!
Breast cancer survivors of all ages
are invited to participate in a free six-week exercise workshop designed to
guide you into a safe return to physical activity and exercise. Lift
your spirits and move your upper body with exercises specifically
designed for breast cancer recovery.
- Each session will focus on a different aspect of exercise
- Exercises will enhance energy levels and increase range of motion
- Exercises are designed for easy ongoing individual practice
- Each participant completing the entire program will receive the exercise
book, "Essential Exercises for Breast Cancer Survivors"
- Participants will learn about the post-cancer potential for developing lymphedema
along with
prevention tips and signs to look for.
The program is designed by a licensed physical therapist, a licensed
occupational therapist, a physician's assistant and a doctor that specializes in
physical medicine and rehabilitation - all of whom are board members of
Lymphedema Resources, Inc. the instructors are licensed physical/occupational
therapists experienced in working with breast cancer survivors.

This workshop will be presented in (2) six-week sessions. One will be held in
Lee County and one will be held in Collier County.
Each workshop can register 20 participants.
