Arm Sleeve and Treatment Funding

We receive grant funds from Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southwest Florida, to fund treatment, transportation and garments for underinsured breast cancer survivors in Lee and Collier counties, Florida. (Details on this project)

Education

Lymphedema can be prevented in some cases!  Our goal is to provide educational material to at risk cancer survivors to help them prevent lymphedema or detect it early.

We do this in may ways:

• LymphedemaResources.org web site with links and articles.
• Information and resource packets distributed through local doctor offices.
• Informational printed material in English and Spanish, distributed in doctor offices, treatment facilities, and at local events in coordination with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southwest Florida.
• Fund training for lymphedema specialists, in order to improve accessibility of trained therapists in southwest Florida. (Grant funded through Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southwest Florida).
• Present educational programs for cancer survivors: "Movin' On: Exercise and Movement for Breast Cancer Survivors"

Support

Lymphedema Resources, Inc. sponsors a support group in Lee County for patients treating Lymphedema.
